5 Hours Later!

Why do they call it Urgent Care if it takes 5 hours to be seen? And why do you wait in the waiting room only do be put in another room where you have to wait even more? All for a shot that took 3 seconds to give and I probably didn't even need it!

Oh and by the way, UHC sucks. If you need help, go to your "preferred" specialist.
$75 vs $35 per visit, you do the math.

Unjustifiable

So who knows what kind of drugs were found on this kid or why they felt the need to pull him over in the first place, but please explain to me the reasons for the actions taken. So the guy was fired, awesome, but that's only step one.

What about the other guy that just stood there, held the kid down, and watched it take place? Why hasn't he lost his job? Or the others that come in kicking with their tasers? What about them? The kid was just hit in the face 13 times, if he wasn't unconcious by then, I'm sure he was pretty damn close to it, he wasn't fighting back. So what's the deal? They just get to keep running the streets? They are just as bad (if not worse) as the people they were hired to take off the streets. And it isn't just here, it's all over the country.

It doesn't matter what color a person is, they shouldn't have to take shit like that from the very people who's job it is to do the exact opposite. And they wonder why we don't trust them...

Is there any happiness left?

Why is it that when ever you watch the news, it's never good news? For the entire 30 minute program, all they have to talk about is who was killed, what caught fire, who's missing, and any other negative thing they can find to talk about. If you're lucky during the last 20 seconds of the show they might tell you about how some dog saved it's owner from drowning. Note that the super pup will never be a pit bull. According to television those are the most vile dogs in existence...or at least that's what they want you to believe. An animal is only as good as it's owner treats and teaches it to be. (I feel the same way about children, but that's a completely different topic.)

Of course it's all about the fear tactics and that's how the media keeps us watching, but why not mix it up a little. Give us a reason to want to go outside. I gave up cable television over 2 years ago and only check the news online for the weather. But now I think I'll just direct my web browser straight to weather.com or something like that. Just bypass the news all together.

It's sad to know that they want you to be afraid all the time. It's even sadder that we fall for it every day.

Weekend News Update...

Jacksonville police say Reginald Peterson needs to learn that 911 is not the appropriate place to complain that Subway left the sauce off a spicy Italian sandwich.

Police say the 42-year-old man dialed 911 twice last week so he could have his sub made correctly. The second call was to complain that officers weren't arriving fast enough.

Subway workers told police Peterson became belligerent and yelled when they were fixing his order. They locked him out of the store after he left to call police. When officers arrived, they tried to calm Peterson and explain the proper use of 911.

Those efforts failed, and he was arrested on a charge of making false 911 calls.

Simply amazing isn't it?!
